FAQ'S

1.  MAY I HAVE A CASH BAR AT MY EVENT?

Yes, if you are a nonprofit organization or a political organization conducting a fundraiser.

2.  IS BARTENDING UNLIMITED INSURED?

Yes, Bartending Unlimited carries the following insurances:

General Liability

Liquor Liability

Workers Compensation

3.  DOES MY EVENT REQUIRE A NC ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL COMMISSION PERMIT?

If you are serving beer and wine only, no NC ABC permit is required.

If you are serving alcohol (spirituous liquor) in any form, yes a NC ABC permit is required.

If you are serving from your private residence, no NC ABC permit is required.

4.  IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?

Yes, a non-refundable Reservation Fee (deposit) is required to secure your event date on BU’s calendar. Your Reservation Fee is due immediately upon acceptance of your event Quote.  Your Reservation Fee is applied toward your contract total.

5.  WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED?

Cash, Certified Funds/Checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted.

6.  WHAT IS THE HOST LIABILITY?

The host is liable for all of their guests because it is their event.

7.  HOW MANY BARTENDERS DO I NEED FOR MY EVENT?

Industry standard, is one (1) bartender for every 75 guests.  BU uses this for beer and wine services.

For events with glassware  and alcohol service we recommend one (1) bartender to every 50 guests.

8.  HOW WILL MY BARTENDER(S) BE ATTIRED?

Your event dictates the bartender’s attire.  If you have specific color requests for the Bartender’s shirts or ties, BU will attempt to accommodate those requests. 

 

Your attire options are:

A.  Formal Attire       Black or White Long Sleeved Dress/Tuxedo Shirt

 With or Without Vest and/or Neck Tie

                                    Black Slacks

 

B.  Casual Attire        White Short Sleeved Polo Shirt

                                    Khaki or Black Slacks/Shorts

 

C.  Themed Attire     Name Your Event Theme

                           Examples: Sports, Island, Toga, Masquerade, etc.

 

9.  HOW IS THE BARTENDER TIPPED?

There are several methods for tipping the bartender.

Gratuity may be included in your Contract Total.

Tip jars may be placed on the bar.

Cash may be given during or after the conclusion of your event.

 

10.  WHY SHOULD I HIRE A PROFESSIONAL BARTENDER?

Our bartenders serve responsibly.

Having an extra set of eyes ensuring our guest are not over consuming.

Eliminates over pouring as industry standard portion control techniques are used

Alleviates your stress allowing you to be a fabulous host and truly enjoy your event.
